In between Tyler the Creator and The Hillbillies (Kendrick Lamar + Baby Keem), I had to haul ass across the festival grounds to capture Clipse. The rap duo comprised of Pusha T and No Malice are nothing short of legends in the rap game.

Their most notable release, 'Hell Hath No Fury,' is an often overlooked project in the modern rap landscape, but it absolutely deserves your attention. The project explores the motifs of materialism in the bling era, heavily emphasizing cocaine use. Hell Hath No Fury is one of the best projects from the bling era of rap that isn't overly boisterous and captures the peak of these sounds/aesthetics.

I've been listening to Pusha T for a while, loving his (2018) Daytona release and several guest features from across the years. I've heard classics from Clipse like Grindin', What Happened to That Boy & Mr. Me Too, though I never dove into their discography before researching this article.

There are so many sets I know before I attend that I am going to enjoy. Clipse was one that fell right into that category. The duo fittingly performed in front of a downed cocaine-trafficking plane, performing a mix of their old hits. Their stage presence was amazing, and I loved seeing Pusha live after listening to his work for years.

The duo carried themselves as equals, each crafting their unique approach with great on-stage chemistry. It's great to see the duo touring on-stage after such a long hiatus from live performances.

Hopefully, the duo will continue to grace festival/live stages, showing a new generation a signature sound from a prior era.

FAX GANG - Interview

The sound selection in some of the instrumentals were really unique and haven’t heard anything like it in some of the previous projects like space requiem, spiral, and four walls. shellboy has some new style melodies/flows on this project that i haven’t heard them use before like on no evil and guardian angel...
